Spatial Audio Training
A skills development initiative carried out by IAC.
In this 3 day-training, we will explore spatial audio at an introductory level. It is aimed at those who have experience in working with sound art and want to explore the tools available for creating Spatial Audio pieces. The focus will primarily be on binaural headphone listening with the potential for presentation through larger speaker systems. We will use free, openly available software so that participants can continue developing their work independently after the training.
Start date/end date: 22–26 October 2026. Lunch is included.
Training mode: Full-time, 3 days. On-site. Extra hours for independent work. Individual and group work.
Prerequisites:
Applicants should have experience in audio recording and be proficient in working with a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). The demonstrations during the training are primarily conducted in Reaper.
All participants must provide their own computer and have their own project idea. This is not a teacher-led course, but rather an opportunity to explore your own ideas through training.
