“Pendulum of Memories” is an audiovisual exhibition about a journey through the landscape of Tomas Tranströmer. It is film poetry, documentation, and an interpretation of the significance of place and memory to inspire creation. The focus is on an inner and outer landscape that has characterised Tomas Tranströmer's writing – but above all it is a journey into poetry.

Opening: Tuesday, 3 June 2025, 15:00–20:00, public discussion at 18:15

Open: 4–5 June 2025, 12:00–16:00

The project can be experienced both in English and Swedish.

“The Pendulum of Memories” project involves film screenings, public meetings and exhibitions and is supported by Region Skåne, Region Värmland Filmstöd and FilmcentrumSyd. The films and the project have been developed by director and producer Gabriella Ceom Cederström and photographer Marie Thorin. Various creative people from different fields have contributed to parts of the project, including musicians Mattias Hansson Webb, Daniel Stagno and singer Adam Leckius.

The audiovisual material was mainly made in central Sweden, in Värmland and Västmanland and in the Stockholm region, but also in Skåne. Inspired by the locations and conversations with one of the writers of our time, Tomas Tranströmer, with Monica Trantrömer and author friends, including researcher and author Niklas Schiöler.
