Breathing Traces. A workshop in Sonic Migrations by Ximena Alarcón
This workshop will invite participants to embrace Breathing as a bridge for emotional tele-presence and explore their essence from their various migratory experiences.
Derived from my work in Sonic Migrations, participants will explore individually and collectively questions and rituals that I have developed over the years, through voice, breathing, multilingual spoken word, and movement improvisation. On the second day participants will be invited to create their own listening exercises to compose their own rituals in Sonic Migrations. Breathing is proposed as the listening path to distill the weight of migration narratives we are holding and meet their essence as an unconscious dream.
