Make Sound artists selected!

At deadline 1 April 2023, Make Sound received many interesting applications for a residency at IAC. Three projects have now been selected. Congratulations to Jonas Olesen, Sóley Sigurjónsdóttir and Matthew Grouse!

Jonas Olesen is a Danish composer and sound artist. Formerly lecturer in electronic composition and history at the Danish Institute for Electronic Music (DIEM), and coordinator of the Scandinavian education program in sound art Nordic Sound Art Runs the BIN label.

Sóley Sigurjónsdóttir (Sól Ey) is an Icelandic composer who makes instrumental and electronic music, sound installations and designs instruments. Her work focuses on the interaction between sound, light, space, and movement.

Matthew Grouse is a British composer and performer based in Copenhagen who works with acoustic and electronic sound, text, video, performance and interdisciplinary settings.

Make Sound is a residency programme in collaboration with the Danish Composers’ Society and is financed by funds from Koda Kultur. A residency for Danish composers and sound-based artists who work with experimental music and/or sound-based art.
