Make Sound artists selected!

Anja Cecilie Petersen, Responding Arches.

At deadline 1 October 2023, Make Sound had received many interesting applications for a residency at the IAC. Two projects were successfully selected. Congratulations to Anja Cecilie Petersen and Xavier Bonfill!

“Responding Arches” is an evolving sound installation, rooted in research into the interplay between sound and physical structures. Drawing inspiration from architectural arches, Anja Cecilie Petersen explores the acoustic nuances of spaces like tunnels and gothic churches and has translated these into ceramic forms reminiscent of bells. Xavier Bonfill is a Catalan composer and performer based in Copenhagen. His artistic output encompasses works for traditional instruments, electronics, video and other multimedia formats such as interactive websites and apps. In his works, a form of dialogue between different media and art forms is created between text, images, acoustic and electronic sound. Visit Xavier Bonfill's webpage here

The Make Sound residency is organised by IAC and the Dansk Komponistforening and financed by funds from Koda Kultur.
