A festival for experimental arts
Tacit or Loud is an international symposium and a festival for experimental arts at the Inter Arts Center in Malmö, Sweden. Tacit or Loud focuses on intermedia art and presents several international world premieres by artists from Europe and South East Asia.

LIKE THE WALLS TO MY HOUSE is a series of workshops, reading groups and lectures using the process of film making itself to think about working as an artist in the moving image today. We will begin with an introductory lecture looking at the difference between modernist and post-modern approaches to artist film and how ideas around illusion have changed in the last 50 years within art/moving image discourse.

During the Inter Labs project Ola Paulson and Jakob Riis will develop an interactive tool for graphic notation as a platform for collective improvised music. Using MAX/MSP and iPad application MIRA will will create an interface for laborations in the space between improvisation and composition. A tool that takes advantage of the composer's ability to create form and structure, and improvisors ability to transform these ideas in real time and to experiment with the compositional elements. The tool should thus permit movement between improvisation and composition in a live context and create a situation where musicians from different fields faster and easier will be able to establish forms and structures of coherent compositional whole.

The phenomenon of intermedial conceptual loans is central to our understanding of the time-based arts. In my master thesis (published at Malmö Academy of Music in 2010) I investigate how the concept 'musicality' is used as a prestige word in discourse on spoken theatre. It is entitled Att agera musikaliskt: musikalitet som norm och utbildningsmål i västerländsk talteater.

Anders Elberling och Henrik Frisk have worked together for severeal years trying to combine audio and video on equal terms. Over the years thet have produced a few large works of which the latest is a video for the performance work Go To Hell.

Vi är inte emot tolkning men i vårt konstnärliga forskningsprojekt "Ögonblickets anatomi" vill vi sätta fokus på det konstnärliga arbetet som skapare av sin egen diskurs och sina egna begrepp.
