Zoe Efstathiou is a pianist working with contemporary piano techniques as a composer and improviser, exploring the materiality of space in an improvised performance, the timbral possibilities of the piano and the relationship between piano and electronics. Her project at Inter Arts Center will involve researching on the possibilities of composing music for piano that has a point of departure in the timbral exploration of the instrument’s overtones.
