ESS residency: Artists selected!
The new residency where artists meet scientists is now starting at ESS (European Spallation Source)!
during midsummer week, a jury selected six artists from 47 applications to participate in the residency.

The residency is a collaboration between Malmö Museer, the European Spallation Source (ESS) and the Inter Art Center at Lund University. In a process facilitated by the Inter Art Center and Malmö Museer, artists and researchers will now relate the work of the ESS and its impact on the region and the world, and show how ESS will communicate its complex research. At the end of the residency this autumn, a forum is planned to present the results and experiences.

According to the jury, the six selected artists have presented clear and relevant themes with a high artistic value. They also ask relevant questions about the present and the future, have a wealth of experience and an understanding of collaboration and interdisciplinary approaches. Furthermore, they can appropriate data and knowledge in new ways.

The approved artists are Ashley Middleton, Axel Straschnoy, Christine Kettaneh, Ish Shehrawat, Jeannette Ginslöv & Keith Lim and Tim Bishop.
