Inspired by the "Short Course in Spatial Audio" (3-5 November 2025 at IAC) Mathias will work with an installation/performance where he physically is placing sound in space. Instead of doing it digitally, as is the case working with ambisonics, he will physically move and place speakers throughout the room. The audio source will be no input stereo equalizers, an instrument Mathias has been working with for a long time. Feedback loops in the equalizers make them into tone generators. In this project Mathias will work with one speaker for each tone, together building up an immersive drone. As a performative way of composing, he will alter interference and room resonance by constantly changing the placement of the speakers.

Mathias Kristersson (b. 1979) is a Malmö based sound- and performance artist working with noise, feedback and the human condition. Since 2014, he has performed under the alias Noise Against Fascism, creating harsh noise rooted in no-input mixing techniques.
