An immersive-performative archive investigating manipulation in the post-truth era, transforming cognitive biases into scenic devices. Through an experiential exhibition format, the audience inhabits an ARG (Alternate Reality Game) architecture inspired by the memetic drifts of 4chan. The core of the dramaturgy resides in the figure of the Oracle, a spectator, mediated by VR, who becomes the sole generator of the narrative. Hyper-Oracle is in an early stage of research.
The artistic research of the duo UCCI UCCI, composed of Salvatore Crucitti and Gloria Zeppilli, is founded on the conjunction of anthropological, ethnographic, and archival studies and practices. Their projects stem from a deep immersion in specific groups, territories and communities, engaging with anthropic landscapes, subcultures and cultures that are hidden or nearing extinction.
UCCI UCCI adopts an interdisciplinary and relational artistic practice aimed at investigating cultural and social issues. The projects are conceived as hypertextual objects in a strong relationship with the audience. In this process, the performative component is central and translates into the experimentation with horizontal and collaborative devices that develop into filmic visual and performative works.
In 2020, Salvatore Crucitti and Gloria Zeppilli founded the artistic research duo UCCI UCCI and, in 2024, the journal "IMPURE Journal of Art and Anthropology".
