The residency is a collaboration between Malmö Museer, the European Spallation Source (ESS) and Inter Arts Center at Lund University.

ESS is a joint European research facility currently being built in Lund. The facility is comparable to a giant microscope where neutrons are used to analyse samples at the atomic and molecular level.

The residency is made possible by the European Regional Development Fund through the Wisdome Innovation Project including the following partners: the City of Malmö, Lund University, Altitude Meetings AB, Malmö University, the European Spallation Source (ESS) and Game Habitat Southern Sweden.
