Performance evening: Friday, 24 September, 18-22, IAC Café area
The performance ‘Speaking with your mouth full’ by Moa Franzén is an investigation, a set of questions and an exploration of the relation between, and the ambiguity of, silence and speech. The work is played out within the mouth and as mouth, and it inevitably addresses the relation between the mouth of the performer and the mouths of the audience, as well as the unarticulated contract between them. The piece puts the power and the vulnerability inherit in the different positions into play, insisting on silence as a discursive and performative act.
The performance is approximately 10 min long.
