Duration: 45 min & QA.

C. Grace Chang is a Malmö-based curator, artist, filmmaker, and writer from New Jersey, USA. Formerly editor at Sine Theta Magazine, she now produces and hosts the Konst Detox Podcast, recorded with support from Inter Arts Center and Kulturrådet. Her curatorial, artistic and academic work combines decolonial theory with Virtual Reality, film, and installation to examine the construction of visual safe havens, coded power structures, and the politics of refusal. She specializes in applied intersectional strategies, experience design, screenwriting, and artistic research.

Iury Salustiano Trojaborg is an artistic researcher and doctoral candidate at Malmö Theatre Academy and Agenda 2030 Graduate School at Lund University coordinated by Kristina Jönsson. His artistic research project “On Ancestrality and Regeneration: Performing Decolonial Journeys” aims to investigate ways of using performance art as a regenerative and socio-political tool to provoke change in the understanding of the lives of immigrants who, like him, willingly travelled the old colonial routes back to the European countries that colonised them. It aims to explore the process of construction of cultural identities in a performative setting according to the intersection of gender, class and race, promoting in this way an active dialogue with the area where this research will take place: the multicultural community of Malmö, Sweden and its surroundings.
