Eareye: “Dark Matters”
Jeanine Durning, Tian Rotteveel
Location: Black Room

Listen with your eyes and see with your ears. A three-day bash of dance, music and performance.

Welcome to a festival indulging in deep, playfully obsessive attention: Choreographic works that are poems. Highly performative concerts. A dance that examines the body as a musical instrument. Another that is music for the eye. EAREYE is a festival that listens with its eyes and see with its ears, curated by choreographer Alma Söderberg.

Thursday, 5 March
17.30 Jeanine Durning & Tian Rotteveel “Dark Matters”, Black Room, IAC

‘Dark Matters’ is a paradoxical practice of metamorphing and de-creating, looking at the self as a provisional and variable state. Beginning in a room that is displaced, misplaced and upended, ‘Dark Matters’ uses rhythm and relation as modes of self-assemblage ans self-interrogation in the midst of an every-shifting environment.
