Artist talk: IASPIS artist Sreejata Roy presents her practice in New Delhi

Inspecting everyday freedom through the lens of gendered identities in the urban village of Khirki, New Delhi. Sreejata Roy has together with the artist Mrityunjay Chatterjee (Revue an artist collective) embarked on 3 years long project called Network & Neighborhoods supported by Khoj for International Artists Residency later titled as Mobile Mohala supported by Kiran Nader Museum of Art (KNMA), Saket, New Delhi.

Their initiative focused on empowering young women from the Urban Village Khirkee and Hauz Rani neighborhoods to re-claim public spaces. The practice of active listening is the core of their dialogic method.
