Public presentation of dissertation works by PhD Candidates at Malmö Art Academy

The public are invited to attend presentations in conjunction with the 50% PhD seminar held at IAC by candidates at the doctoral programme in fine arts, from Malmö Art Academy. The PhD candidates presenting their work are: Rosa Barba, Alejandro Cesarco, Andrea Ray, Imogen Stidworthy, Marion von Osten and Lea Porsager

Presenting parts of PhD works:
Rosa Barba will perform her Fictional Dictionary.
Marion von Osten will present thoughts and materials from her PhD research project “The End of Contemporary Art” (As We Knew It)
Andrea Ray will be presenting an introduction to her PhD project A Chronopolitics of Belonging; feminist explorations of subjectivity through a synchronous sense of time.

Introduction of early stages of PhD works:
Alejandro Cescarco will perform the initial stages for A Personal History of Worrying.
Imogen Stidworthy will give a background and context to A Map of Sweeping.
Lea Porsager will introduce Cut-Splice Thought-Forms.
