SOUND SPACES 2026 - ATTILA FARAVELLI - AURAL TOOLS
Across two connected events, Attila Faravelli presents complementary aspects of a practice centered around sound, space, the body and situated listening.
In his second appearance during Sound Spaces 2026, he exhibits his Aural Tools - a series of simple objects developed over time through collaborations with musicians, sound artists and researchers. Part lecture, part showcase and hands-on workshop, the session introduces selected Aural Tools through demonstrations and collective experiments.
The project explores ways of relating sound to space, the listener and the body that fall outside the scope of traditional recorded formats. The tools may take the form of small physical devices, listening environments or spatial configurations. Designed to be used rather than simply observed, they activate situated and collective modes of listening, drawing attention to how position, gesture, movement and interaction shape what and how we hear.
SCHEDULE:
11:00 - Lecture
12:00 - Brunch + presentation of the Aural Tools and a hands-on session
