On 17 April, representatives from IAC visited the XTREME team at the IT University of Copenhagen. The visiting group from IAC included Jonas Jönsson (technician), Lili Nottrott (operations coordinator) and Yann Copper (PhD student at the Malmö Academy of Music).

At ITU, the XTREME team presented their work and research framework. Sami S. Brandt introduced the XTREME project and its objectives, followed by demonstrations of the 4DSOUND system led by Christian Sivertsen, as well as selected XR prototypes developed within XTREME’s artistic productions. Justyna Starostka, Leo Vitasovic, and Harshit contributed to the demonstrations and discussions.

The visit provided valuable insight into XTREME’s work and opened up opportunities for exchange in spatial audio and artistic research. It marked an initial step toward future collaboration between IAC and XTREME. A follow-up visit to Malmö is planned for June.
