IAC is happy to contribute to the development of the upcoming MOOC "Light, Lighting and Humans", scheduled to launch in autumn 2026!

The course is developed in collaboration across several faculties and departments at Lund University, including LTH, the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Social Sciences.

IAC’s contribution focuses on lighting within the performing and visual arts. It addresses how light shapes space, atmosphere, and audience perception, as well as the relationship between artistic intention and technical practice. The contribution draws on perspectives from Konsthögskolan i Malmö/Malmö Art Academy and Teaterhögskolan i Malmö. Video materials are produced by EduLab in collaboration with the University’s production team and IAC.

The course includes filmed interviews with staff from the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts, recorded during the Edstrandska Exhibition 2025 and at IAC in January 2026.

Participants include Mathias Kristersson (Malmö Art Academy) and Thomas Dotzler and Jörgen Dahlqvist (Malmö Theatre Academy).

MOOC courses are online courses at Lund University that are open to anyone interested, regardless of prior knowledge. The courses are entirely digital and start on an ongoing basis. “Light, Lighting and Humans” will start in autumn 2026.
