Hanni Kamaly

“RA, or re: the whole” is a project centred around the confrontation of the self and the Other, by introducing the object as interchangeable of either elements and as the border between the two. Martine Flor

Virtual Reality/Artistic Research
Inter Arts Center, Humlab, Lund University, K3, Malmö University, Bombina Bombast, Makropol, Gibson/Martelli
7 November 2016 - 8 November 2016
Virtual Reality continues to entrance.

With hardware and software and becoming more affordable and easier to use, VR is once again capturing the imagination of artists. It is both a tool and environment potentially offering a wide range of experiences not just for one body but also for a collective. The potential for empathy, dislocation and shared sensory experience is rich for artistic work but the technology tends to be directed towards the consumer electronics market and ever more ‘intimate’ and targeted advertising. Approaching VR artistically is therefore not just one of creation but of critique – of commercial interest and of the purely technological motivated concepts. We need to ask ourselves why VR. What possibilities lay in the VR technology for artists and researchers and how does this contribute with new formats and ideas around the artistic work with audience, participants, archives/history and places …

Misheardpedia
Alessandro Perini
24 September 2016 - 24 September 2016
Misheardpedia is a misheard version of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is the world's most famous archive of knowledge and, in a way, a description of our world; but it relies on quantity and not on quality. We know it contains errors, partial interpretations, unverified information and so on, but still it's our first help when we want to retrieve some knowledge. We trust and hope that what we are reading is a precise, exhaustive and objective analysis of reality.
Live Sentences
Sofia Härdig
24 September 2016 - 24 September 2016
The context of this performance is very simple. One person and a microphone. The performer crosses the border of the black walls and puts herself in the room calling directly to the audience. Is the voice an instrument, a call for help, is it private, social, excluding, including, communicating? And finally what is perfect?
Babettes gæstebud
Liv Kaastrup Vesterskov, Fabio Monni
24 September 2016 - 24 September 2016
A live staged sound-drama installation of several scenes that mirror a full course dinner. The sound installation portrays the soundscape of a group of people sitting around a table and dining together in complete silence. The only audible sounds are the ones of the actual eating (body sounds) and the ones of the used objects such as cutleries etc. The shift between dramatic 'realistic' soundscapes and more abstract 'not human' ones will be Liv Kaastrup Vesterskov and Fabio Monni's attempt to create a balance between storytelling and a purely sonic experience.

Artist in residence: Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe
Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe
19 September 2016 - 29 September 2016
This is an exploration of absence in a way. To build a body with two parts and then remove one to reveal whether each can stand on their own. The removed part will never be available to the audience, so they will have to make up in their own minds what would couple with this piece to make it whole. Or is it already a whole? This illusory exercise is meant to offer an idea, but not to layout a definitive. This can serve as each individual’s own Exquisite Corpse of sorts.
